Comprehensive Pediatric Eye Exam
A paediatric eye examination checks visual acuity, eye alignment, refraction, and the health of the retina and optic nerve. For children who cannot yet read a standard vision chart, age-appropriate tests, shape charts, and retinoscopy are used.
Our dedicated pediatric eye clinic ensures a child-friendly, gentle environment where young patients feel comfortable and relaxed throughout their screening.

Why Is an Eye Examination Important for Children?
Children may not know that their vision is different from what others see. A child with reduced vision in one eye will naturally rely on the stronger eye — and the weaker eye can fall significantly behind (amblyopia or lazy eye) if the condition goes undetected. Regular examinations give children the visual foundation needed for reading, learning, sports, and overall development.
Key Signs Your Child Needs an Eye Exam:
- Sitting too close to the television or holding books unusually close
- Squinting, tilting head to one side, or closing one eye to focus
- Complaining of frequent headaches or eye fatigue after school
- Difficulty seeing the whiteboard or falling behind in reading
- Any visible misalignment or wandering eye
